If you do calibrate it, does the calibration work in every application? Is this screen glossy or matte? I read the entire Planar thread and for all intents and purposes, this is the exact same monitor with a different stand and badging.
The menu joystick is more of a nub. You'd be better off making the adjustments through your video card drivers.
